The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) offers over $100,000 in college scholarships each year, awarded during the NFBnational convention banquet. The largest scholarship is currently $12,000. To learn more, click here.
Each year during its convention banquet, the National Federation of the Blind of Washington (NFBW) awards two scholarships -- the Beverly Prows Memorial Scholarship and the Hazel tenBroek Memorial Scholarship. All students who are legally-blind in both eyes, who reside in the state of Washington and who are attending or plan shortly to attend a post-secondary educational institution or vocational program full-time are eligible. The application deadline for 2009 NFBW scholarships has passed. However, all eligible persons are strongly urged to apply for the 2010 scholarships. An application form which can be downloaded from this page will be available early in 2010.
